Preserving the Musical Arts within Our Communities
Uplifting & Reconnecting All Ages through the Universal Language of Music
A Message from the Maestro
Thank you to our board members, our volunteers, and of course our musicians and our incredible soloist, Kristen Plumley, who made our recent Pops Gala Fundraising Concert at “The Warrington” a truly entertaining and enjoyable event.
March 7 Concert, “The Exuberance of Youth”
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Schubert, and Georges Bizet were all precocious musical talents who composed incredibly good music at an incredibly young age. Our March 7 concert features Schubert’s ever-popular Symphony No. 8, “The Unfinished,” his dynamic “Rosamunde Overture,” Bizet’s evocative and exhilarating “L’Arlesienne Suite No. 2,” and performing Mozart’s “Piano Concerto No. 2, Movement I,” is the winner of our Young Artist Competition Children’s Division, Mingze Feng.
Mingze was only 12 when she won last year’s Young Artist Children’s Division Competition. This year’s competition is coming up soon on April 18. Perhaps you know a talented youngster who meets our criteria for auditioning and will encourage him or her to audition. All information and an application can be found here on this website.
