A Message from the Maestro
The orchestra is following up our recent, highly acclaimed, “Beloved Tchaikovsky” concert with our ever-popular holiday concert. The Dec. 7, program, entitled “A Holiday to Remember,” is sure to get everyone’s holiday season off to a joyful start. The WSO will be joined by the Capital Singers of Trenton to present an evening of instrumental and vocal favorites ranging from the Finale from Ralph Vaughan Williams’s masterwork cantata, Dona Nobis Pacem, to Santa Claus is Coming to Town. This concert will appeal to all ages and musical tastes. Even Santa and Mrs. Claus are huge fans of this concert and will likely make a guest appearance! Also worth noting, for this concert only, children and students are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Looking a bit forward into the New Year, our 2025 Pops Gala Fundraising Concert will truly be a unique event never to be duplicated! The orchestra will be performing space- themed music from the movies Star Wars, and Apollo 13, music from “The Planets,” and other songs with our special guest star, the Star Trek singer herself – Kristen Plumley; all in a venue where America’s astronauts trained from the 1950s to 1990s. Visit the concert section of this website for complete information – but please, please avoid disappointment and order your tickets before they sell out.
Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season and I look forward to seeing you on Dec. 7!
